The Awakening Meditation

Take 5 minutes a day to sit, relax and spend some quiet time alone.
Practice sitting, with your back vertical, yet relaxed.
Be very still but do not hold onto any tension.
Practice relaxing every little muscle throughout your body.
Let your breath take your tensions away.

After you are deeply relaxed, then practice
these 5 points of awareness for another 5 to 45 minutes.

#1 Be aware of your physical body, allow it to be your home.
#2 Be aware of your emotions, allow yourself to feel all your feelings.
#3 Be aware of the objects of the mind, allow them to be what they are.
#4 Be aware of the mind, allow it to focus on whatever the heck it wants to.
#5 Be aware of the witnesser of the mind, rest deeply in this pure consciousness.
